Teaching

Lucien’s experience as a voice-over artist has resulted in him being called upon to give professional advice and guidance in the field. His experience as a teacher includes numerous demonstrations at various institutions, including NYU, Hofstra, IBS, the Audio Engineering Society, National Audio Theatre Festivals, and Japanese animation conventions in several States. His passion and joy for the craft allow him to attack his lessons with an unbridled eagerness. He has provided private tutoring to children, as well as adults.

Because of his unique, multi-faceted background as a result of taking formal acting lessons in the Meisner technique, workshops in classic radio theatre, and observing other working professionals, Lucien is able to use his experience to teach in a fluid, organic fashion, free of formulaic lesson plans. Lucien approaches the craft from the perspective of a character actor, and helps his students to discover and develop the proper tools to approach any kind of voice-over material, be it a commercial, audio book, or animated series.

Whether you’re a beginner, someone who’s done stage or film who’d like to learn more about voice-over, or someone who’s looking to further hone their skills in the field, Lucien would love to talk to you.
